A study recently published in the journal Environment & Behavior found that spending just 6 minutes sitting quietly looking at an image of a fall foliage scene can reduce the physical signs of stress by 60% (such as high blood pressure and cortisol levels). They admit that actually being there in that environment is more beneficial, but if you can’t get out, simply looking at a photo of a natural scene can actually have significant health benefits for the entire body.
